Carlo Acutis was born in London in 1991 and raised in Milan Italy by wealthy parents. After receiving his First Communion as a child, he became devoted to the Blessed Sacrament.
In 2006, Carlo was diagnosed with Leukemia. He offered his sufferings to God, the sitting Pope Benedict XVI, and the entire Church. His long time desire was to visit as many sites of Eucharistic Miracles as possible. This dream was cut short when Carlo died in 2006 at the age of 15. He is entombed in Assisi, Italy.

Blessed Carlo on pilgrimage in 2006 to the Shrine of Our Lady of the Rosary at Fatima, Portugal
Carlo had an immediate impact especially since he also had very strong computer programming skills. He drew young people's attention from around the world.
Carlo's pathway to sainthood began when a child and his mother from Brazil prayed to Carlo for healing from a birth defect and it made it hard for him to digest food. The child prayed to Carlo " I wish I wouldn't vomit so much". Immediate healing began, and the child could eat normally. This miracle was accepted by the Vatican and Carlo was raised to the level of "Blessed Carlo" and beautified by Pope Francis in 2020. (Catholic News Service)
The Vatican announced on May 23
a Second Miracle has been associated with Blessed Carlo and he will become a Saint! The date of his canonization has not been set.
Carlo's Devotion to the Blessed Sacrament motivated him to travel to different sites in Europe which have Eucharistic Miracles associated with them and he developed a website documenting these miracles.
